Brown Butter Rice Crispy Treats

Ingredients

Makes 10-12 Rice Crispy Treats
  • 1/2 c. (113g) Black & Bolyard® Original Brown Butter, plus more for coating the dish
  • 10 oz. (285g) Jet Puffed Marshmallows
  • 6 c. (160g) Puffed Rice Cereal
  • 2 tsp. (6g) Coarse Sea Salt

Preparation

  1. In a large pot, melt the Black & Bolyard® Original Brown Butter over medium-low heat.
  2. Add the Jet Puffed Marshmallows to the melted Brown Butter and stir with a rubber spatula to incorporate.
  3. Add the sea salt and continue stirring until the marshmallows are completely melted.
  4. Pour in the Puffed Rice Cereal and stir to completely incorporate with the melted butter and marshmallows.
  5. Turn off the heat. Lightly coat the bottom and sides of a 13″x9″x2″ pan with Black & Bolyard® Original Brown Butter.
  6. Transfer the warm mixture from the pot to the brown butter-coated pan and evenly distribute by pressing gently with the rubber spatula.
  7. Cool the mixture in the pan until solidified, then cut into 2-3″ squares and enjoy.
