Hot Black Pepper and Brown Buttered Rum Cocktail

Makes 1 Cocktail
  • 1/2 oz. Blank Slate Kitchen Black Pepper Rich Simple Syrup
  • 1 tsp. Black & Bolyard® Bay Leaf Brown Butter
  • 4 oz. Boiling Water
  • 2 oz. Dark Rum
  • 1 Cinnamon Stick
  • Freshly Grated Nutmeg


  1. Add syrup, brown butter, rum and boiling water to a mug.
  2. Grate a generous amount of nutmeg into the mug, then stir with the cinnamon stick until the butter is melted.
  3. Enjoy on a cold Winter night!
